How many books will there be in the Mercy Hills series?

Right now I have the main series planned for 8 books, though that’s subject to change. The end point of the series has always been meant to be the day that the Segregation laws are struck down and the shifters are free to come and go as they please. How long it will take me to get there is anyone’s guess, but I’m expecting about 8 books worth.
